Revolution

In 1789 Uranus was discovered by some astronomers peering through telescopes.  What is interesting is that Uranus is, and presumably was then, visible to the naked eye.

But, somehow, Uranus was not noticed until 1789.  Hmmm.

It can be easily shown that planets' discoveries parallel those changes in human consciousness that reflect the symbolic meaning of the planetary archetype.

Uranus was discovered, brought into collective human awareness, only after a period of revolution stirred by the rise of human consciousness, based on the rights of the individual to decide aspects of his/her fate that had previously been decided by monarchies and priesthoods.
